The Top 10 Practical Uses for Between-Appointment MomentsCategory: Entrepreneurs, Small Business, Home Office (AA55)Originally Submitted on 8/28/2000. For many of us, a major time-waster can be the brief spaces between phone calls, appointments, or meetings. If there is no time to start on a major project, many people head for the refrigerator, snack- or coffee-machine. Why not compile a list of mini-tasks so as to fill those times constructively? Here are some ideas to start that list: 1. Look at, recall, your vision, your dream-board, whatever will help you to focus on what is truly important to you. 2. Go over your for-today checklist. 3. Take a drink of water - it will cut the craving for caffeinated drinks. 4. Return a phone call. 5. Take several slow, deep breaths. 6. Answer an e-mail. 7. Do a couple of neck and shoulder loosen-up exercises. 8. Make notes on an in-preparation project. 9. S-t-r-r-r-e-t-c-h. 10. File or sort papers.
