The Top 10 Ways to Feng Shui Your Home Office for SuccessCategory: Entrepreneurs, Small Business, Home Office (AA333)Originally Submitted on 7/2/2003. 1. Create as many different ways to enter the front door as possible. A porch with three approaches is good: one from the left, one from the right and one from straight ahead. 2. Paint or treat your porch and front door in colors that express success for you. The classic Feng Shui auspicious colors are red and purple. One of my clients painted her front door red and her porch purple. In three weeks she achieved a dream job in another state that permitted her to separate from her husband which was perhaps even more important at the time. 3. Use all four burners on your stove. Magic. The kitchen generates all the energy in Feng Shui and the stove is a critical area. Using all four burners signifies to the universal powers that you are, as the saying goes, operating "on all four burners." 4. Put a mirror behind your stove. This magnifies the energy emanating from your home. 5. Put a bowl of water on the front porch. You can disguise this as a fountain or decoration. This draws or magnetizes people to your office. 6. Every morning when you "open" your office, prepare a chair for your client(s) to sit in. If you do this, they will come! Do not pile stuff on this chair. Do not use it to climb up and reach a light bulb and do not allow others to remove it from your office. 7. Have something to give your clients to take with them. Items that work well are monogrammed ball point pens, card calendars or bookmarks with your logo and contact information on them. Put "promotional items" in a search engine and explore all the possibilities. 8. Make sure the area around your phone is clean and well organized. Clean your phone regularly with a cleanser like PineSol. 9. Sit facing the door to your office. Never sit with your back to the door. 10. Don't sit in front of an open window. If you get restless, take a walk outside but sitting and looking outside wastes essential energies and is a deterrent to success.
