The Top 10 Business Operating Principles

Operating Principles are the yardsticks by which we live. They are the 'how' behind the 'what' and 'why' of our lives. Whether acknowledged or not, all entities live by them and that includes businesses as well as individuals.

Kudos to Susan Davis, founder of Capital Missions Company (http://www.capitalmissions.com) and her team, who have created the following operating principles. They are inspiring and support their vision (to achieve a globally-accountable economy), mission (create social investor networks whose existence will lead to the eventual achievement of this vision) and strategy (use its innovative KINS approach (Key Initiator Network Strategy) to create these social investor networks.) This is a great example of how beautifully our vision, mission, strategy and principles work together to provide a framework for a life of integrity, whether business or personal

1. Tell the truth.

2. A deal is a good deal if it is good for all concerned.

3. Generosity comes back ten-fold to the bottom line.

4. Socially responsible companies are more productive and profitable than others.

5. Water doesn't rise any higher than its source.

6. Treasure teamwork; share the wealth.
