1. They never answer the phone.

2. They don't ask you about the wife and kids but they do remember all the details of your last conversation.

3. They are mysteriously lacking a cell.

4. They are heard to say "I''ll think it over".

5. If you've had enough experience with them, you realize that their no ... means no!

6. When you make the mistake of suggesting getting together for golf or a day at the races, a pained looked briefly crosses their face.

7. They aren't falling for your hype and you can tell it.

8. They really listen and ask for clarification of details.

9. They use silence to control the situation.

10. They sometimes seem to be avoiding you.
