Let's reflect on lifetime learning, a quality that is clearly associated with good mental and physical health into old age. The questions for today are, what are you learning, how are you learning it and have you taught someone else something lately?

1. Education is a good thing, but you should sometimes remember that nothing worth knowing can be taught. - Oscar Wilde

2. One repays a teacher badly by remaining a pupil. - Fredreich Nietzsche

3. The true method of knowledge is experiment. - William Blake

4. Through teaching others, we find out how little we really know. - Yukiso Yamamoto

5. The sage is guided by what he feels and not by what he sees.
- Lao Tzu

6. There's nothing new under the sun, but there are lots of old things we still don't know. - Ambrose Bierce

7. Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the men of old, seek what they sought. - Basho

8. Education is not a preparation for life, education is life itself.
- John Dewey

9. I want you to learn, but not to be taught. - Moshe Feldenkrais

10. Learn as if you were going to live forever. Live as if you were going to die tomorrow. - Mahatma Gandhi

Last but not least ... my favorite. Have you learned something new lately? Have you taught someone something lately? Mentoring is the great gift of later life.
